How it works
Oz Lotto draws take place every Tuesday at 20:30 AEST/AEDT. Players choose seven numbers from a pool of 1 to 47. After the main draw, three supplementary numbers are drawn from the same pool. These supplementary numbers determine some of the lower prize divisions but do not affect the top prize.
To win Division 1, you must match all seven main numbers drawn. The minimum guaranteed top prize is A$2,000,000, though jackpots often roll over to much larger amounts when there is no Division 1 winner. Full draw results and prize breakdowns are published by the operator at thelott.com/oz-lotto.
Odds and divisions
The odds of winning Division 1 in Oz Lotto are 1 in 62,891,499. To put that in perspective, you would need to flip a coin and get heads roughly 26 times in a row to face similar odds. Those odds reflect the total number of possible seven-number combinations in a field of 47. Lower divisions offer better odds because they require fewer matching numbers, but we have not verified figures for those divisions independently.
If you win
All prize claims are handled directly by the licensed operator who sold you the ticket. We do not process payments, hold tickets, or act as an intermediary in any prize claim. For online entries, smaller prizes are typically credited automatically to your account with the operator. Larger wins require identity verification and may involve a formal claim process. Keep your ticket or account records safe. If you have questions about a prize, contact the operator's customer service team.
