What this means in practice: links marked "Play on The Lott" or tagged rel="sponsored" route the reader to the licensee's site, where the entry is purchased and settled. Drawspage is an independent lottery information site serving readers in Victoria, Australia. We explain draw schedules, odds, and how licensed operators work. Some of the links on this site earn us a commission when you click through and play. This page sets out how those relationships work and where our money comes from.
What we earn
When a licensed lottery operator runs an affiliate programme, we may join it. If you click a link to that operator and go on to buy a ticket or play a game, we may receive a percentage of the sale. The operator pays us, not you. Your ticket price is identical whether you arrive via our link or type the URL directly into your browser.
What we don't earn
We do not list or link to unlicensed operators. We do not receive commission from any site that lacks a valid Australian state or territory licence. Before we cover an operator, we verify its regulator and licence status independently of any commercial discussion. Editorial decisions are made first; commercial relationships, if they exist, come afterward.
How we mark sponsored links
When a link earns commission, we add rel="nofollow sponsored" to the HTML. This tells search engines the relationship is commercial. You will also see disclosure language near the link itself. Links that do not earn commission—for example, to the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission or to operators we cover editorially but have no agreement with—carry no sponsored attribute.
